JUNE 2019

HAMPTON, NH – Sphinx Soccer Academy and Seacoast United Sports Club Inc. are proud to announce a new partnership heading into the 2019/20 soccer season.

Based in Marblehead, MA, Sphinx Soccer Academy is a progressive youth soccer skill program offering structural development for all ages and abilities. Founded by director Mo El Sayed, Sphinx Soccer offers a curriculum designed to elevate players technically, tactically, physically, and psychologically.

As part of this new relationship, Sphinx Soccer Academy will now operate its competitive teams under the name Seacoast United Sphinx, and its teams will have the ability to compete in the New England Premiership.

“Mo and the Sphinx Academy have proven to be a wonderful tool for player technical development. After recent discussions, he feels that the obvious step for the players he teaches is to provide team and game opportunities in addition to his skills programs. Mo recognized that Seacoast United has the only pathway to the highest level of youth soccer in the region of the North Shore for both boys and girls – the US Development Academy,” commented Seacoast United Massachusetts Operations Director Eric Slack. “By partnering with Seacoast United, the new Seacoast United Sphinx Academy players will have a better player pathway than any other club in the area, and it is a testament to Mo for wanting to provide it for them.”

Seacoast United was established in 1992 and maintains a reputation for professionalism and success within the region through a philosophy and vision that is shared by both clubs. It offers programs in a variety of sports throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, while also hosting tournaments and owning/operating several indoor and outdoor sports facilities. This new partnership allows for Sphinx Soccer Academy to maintain their local administration and skill development academy, while providing additional opportunities for player development that now includes a pathway for National Premier Leagues (NPL) and the US Soccer Development Academy (DA) via Seacoast United. Additional coaching education and resources will also be available to the coaching staff.
